During pregnancy, estrogen levels in the body rapidly rise and drop unexpectedly, causing the part of the hypothalamus in the brain to perceived these fluctuations as something unusually high body temperature. Hypothalamus then signals the body to release out huge amount of body heat as quickly as possible which is then perceived as night sweats.
Are night sweats an early sign of pregnancy in women?
Some women experience post ovulation symptom of night sweats and hot flashes after few days of ovulation. This is due to changes in the progesterone hormone levels and progesterone levels tend to be very high during ovulation. These post ovulation symptoms and are night sweats an early symptom of pregnancy. Yes, they can actually be early indications of pregnancy. Night sweats and got flashes are often experienced during early pregnancy however, some women may not experience the symptom until 2 weeks post pregnancy or conception.
